Luke Robinson
Luke joined Qualisec in 2009 as Director of Security, Saftey and Risk relocating from Sydney to Salzburg with his young family he brings a wealth of event and project management experience to the company.
Luke has a vast academic and operational event, risk and crowd management background working on projects as diverse as the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Australian International Music Festival (Executive Director 1998-2001), 21st World University Games Opening Ceremony Beijing China and the Red Bull Air Race as both Public Event Manager/Health and Safety Officer (Perth 2006-2008 & London 2008) and Head of Security Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Porto, Windsor, San Diego and New York.
Luke was a central member of the management team advising the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Interior Higher Security Committee for the 2009 Formula 1 Etihad Airway Grad Prix focusing on crowd management, security deployment and health and safety issues.
Luke worked closely with the Abu Dhabi Event Security Committee and Evacuation Group mentoring them through the precinct wide evacuation planning process and plan development for the 2010 Formula 1 events on Yas Island.
He has recently completed a Masters Degree in Project Management at the University of Sydney – his Master’s dissertation was in the application of Social Network Analysis in identifying emergent structures in Emergency Coordination.
Luke also has a Diploma of Event Management & Marketing and Certificate IV in Assessment and Work Place Training.
Luke is a dynamic presenter and facilitator delivering event, project and risk management courses from the undergraduate to executive level. He is rapidly gaining the reputation as an excellent faciltator of table top exercises with a focus on communication interoperability and emergency management arrangements.
Luke is a member of the Project Management Institute, Australian Institute of Project Management and the Risk Management Institute of Australasia.
Luke is passionate about cooking, fine wine, rugby union and drums of all descriptions.
